First Saturday Serve
On the first Saturday of each month, teams meet at various locations to share God's love in practical ways by caring for the felt needs within our community.
Saturday at 9:00 AM
This will be a place for Men of crosstown to be connected to events happening specifically for men, whether it is a serving opportunity, sports activities, or simply a chance to get together as men and sharpen each other. The Idea is that we can grow our ministry here at crosstown by being better connected as a whole. If you have an event you would like to add to the calendar, please share and let's fill up our calendar.
This group exists to provide services to people in the Woodbury community. The projects vary in time/place in homes of widows, veterans, single parents. The team leader will communicate as the needs arise. Your gifts/talents/availability will bless those around us!
Join us as we serve meals with The Union Gospel Mission on the first and third Sundays of each month from 5:00pm-7:00pm! You can park anywhere in our lot, even in spots designated as staff only. You can enter through the Bethel Hotel entrance and our front desk staff will direct you to our kitchen area. Once you arrive in the kitchen, our kitchen staff will give instructions on how to serve the meal. We will provide everything you need, and our kitchen staff will be present the entire time to help and support you. Here are some other things to be mindful of: - Wear closed-toed shoes - Make sure clothing covers the chest, shoulders, underarms, torso, and knees - Hairnets (provided by UGMTC) or hat (brought by the volunteer) - Gloves and aprons (provided by UGMTC) Here is a helpful resource,
Serving opportunities will be shared with this group and participants can participate as it works with their schedule and/or interest. No set meeting times or commitments. Emails will be sent out as opportunities become available. Let's radically serve and love our community so that more people will come to know Jesus.
Monday at 6:30 PM
Join us for our Winter/Spring semester as we study Hebrews: A Faith That Endures. Hebrews 12:2-3 ...fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer [author] and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

The pressures of life often lead to a life of stress. Jesus wants to lighten our load. Through Him we have access to live a life with peace and a sound mind despite our circumstances. Sound Mind is a 3-session small group with a biblical perspective and practical tools for everyday pressures. Sound Mind will meet at the Crosstown Campus for 3 Wednesday evenings in January 2024 on 1/17, 1/24, 1/31 from 6-7pm. Come and be encouraged!
Wednesday at 7:00 AM
The Promise Principle is a powerful tool to teach men how to hear the voice of God through reading the Bible. It calls men to a daily God connection in which He speaks clearly through His Word and promises transformation, power, and direction in our everyday lives, (Romans 12:2, 2 Peter 1:3-4). Each week we will meet on Wednesday mornings at 7:00 AM, at Hope Breakfast Bar in West End. We will read through and discuss the Bible chapter for that week together from a reading plan developed by the national Promise Principle team.
Tuesday at 6:00 AM
We are meeting at Jerry's Foods, Hargis Dr. Woodbury in the upper seating area. You are welcome here! This is a "join at anytime" men's group. If you are looking for a deeper connection with God, this group is for you. God desires that we overcome being ruled by our thoughts and feelings, which are highly influenced by our circumstances — family, work, health, or temptation. 2 Peter 1:3–4 tells us that we can actually do this! It comes from learning to respond to God's promises in His Word and through prayer. This is the purpose of The Promise Principle Men's Small Groups. Whether you’re still exploring faith in Christ, or you have been a Christian for many years, you’ll experience what we believe Jesus meant when He called His disciples to change the world by discovering and responding to His promises, truths, and commands.
