First Saturday Serve
On the first Saturday of each month, teams meet at various locations to share God's love in practical ways by caring for the felt needs within our community.
The Good Neighbor program exists to empower the church to walk alongside refugees and immigrants with the love of Christ. Good Neighbors befriend refugees and asylum seekers by providing practical support and life skills to those who have been forced to flee their homelands. Our team will walk alongside a family for one year. Some of our responsibilities will be: * Welcome newly-arriving refugee family through Arrive Ministries’ Reception and Placement program. * Be one of the first faces to greet this family upon their arrival at the airport. * In partnership with the family’s case manager wewill have the opportunity to assist with appointments and help the family learn local systems, all while extending friendship to our newest neighbors. *Come alongside a refugee or immigrant family already living in Minnesota. * Provide support to families seeking asylum.

This is a safe place to process and pray through child loss and infertility struggles 1 Samuel 1:19-20 Samuel Is Born 19 The family got up early in the morning and worshiped before the Lord. Then they returned to their house in Ramah. Elkanah lay with his wife Hannah, and the Lord remembered her. 20 The Lord made it possible for her to have a child, and when the time came she gave birth to a son. She gave him the name Samuel, saying, “I have asked the Lord for him." Samuel's Hope: A group of prayer warriors believing that God will make it possible for them to have a child. We will be asking God to remember us, just as he did Hannah in 1 Samuel, and to bring us a child. This group was created to be a source of encouragement, prayer support, and safe place to share. It's for women who have a desire to have children, but are facing obstacles. It's a place where we as women will stand together and ask God to make it possible. We will ask God to remember us and give us sons and daughters to raise to honor Him. The plan - to commit every Monday to a time in prayer for each other
Thursday at 6:30 PM
A group for young adults where we honestly wrestle with questions about the Bible and how to apply this ancient text to our 21st century lives. Bring your Bible, your notebook, your questions, your doubts, your fears, your joy, your curiosity and join this community of folks who want a serious relationship with their Bible…but who aren’t there yet.
Wednesday at 7:00 PM
We live in a world that alone will not produce Godly men. Our children, and more specifically our sons, are culturally acclimatized to "never grow up" and live the life of a boy in a man's body. Living this first hand with my own son, I refuse to let the world dictate his future outcome. The goal of this group is for a small group of men to "intentionally" disciple our sons to become the Godly men the Lord calls them to be. Utilizing Jon Tyson's book "The Intentional Father" as a guide, this is a men's group for fathers of boys between the ages of 12-19 who are interested in helping their boys step into becoming a man of God. (AMAZON Link: )
A spirit-led prayer class. Learn to hear and obey God's voice, experience His presence, intercede for what is on His heart, decree His work, and yield to the Holy Spirit as we partner with Him in prayer. Intercessory Prayer will happen on campus (14898 Energy Way, Apple Valley) at 630pm in the Family Auditorium. Childcare is not provided

Prayer is hard. Harder than it seems it should be. We are busy, distracted, and unsure if our time spent in prayer is amounting to anything. We want to have a vibrant, passionate prayer life, but instead, we may have one that is cold and apathetic. What is the cure for this? It is a true, biblical understanding of prayer. Our group meets every other Thursday evening starting January 18th.
This group is designed to get into God's Word, grow in your relationship with Jesus and connect to others. We will read the Bible together following River Valley's SOAP method and meet bi-weekly. I can't wait to get to know you! We will start the group with the "Take Ground" study guide that is inspired by this year's vision that Pastor Rob shared in January. I believe that we are going to end the year strong as we take ground as a church and see you take ground personally!

You are welcome here! This is a "join at anytime" men's group. If you are looking for a deeper connection with God, this group is for you. God desires that we overcome being ruled by our thoughts and feelings, which are highly influenced by our circumstances — family, work, health, or temptation. 2 Peter 1:3–4 tells us that we can actually do this! It comes from learning to respond to God's promises in His Word and through prayer. This is the purpose of The Promise Principle Men's Small Groups. Whether you’re still exploring faith in Christ, or you have been a Christian for many years, you’ll experience what we believe Jesus meant when He called His disciples to change the world by discovering and responding to His promises, truths, and commands.

The group will point men to a gospel-centered vision of life that sets them up to enjoy God’s grace as they pursue the promises of His Word. Group Timeline: Stage 1: 12 weeks - Authentic Manhood for Grown Men (A Man’s Design, His Story, and His Traps) (meets for 12 consecutive weeks). Stage 2: 6 additional weeks: Man and his Work 6 additional weeks: Man and his Marriage, and Fatherhood Men can join at anytime, but in order to earn a camo wristband with “Iron Sharpens Iron” (Free, Pure Disciples on the inside) a man must complete his full commitment to Stages 1 & 2.

Hello! We meet at River Valley Shakopee on Tuesdays from 6:00-7:30am. Starting Jan. 9, 2024, we will start a new series called Explore, one of the core discipleship groups at River Valley Church. Using a study curriculum called "Xplore", we will embark upon a 7-lesson study to help believers discover the biblical theme of God’s global purpose, the task remaining in frontier missions, major world religions, and how they can participate in God’s global purpose, no matter their location or vocation.
We are starting a men’s only (for now) small group in which we’ll be getting together on Sunday nights at Trinity Lutheran Church in Long Lake, for open gym basketball. All skill levels are welcome and the gym will be reserved for this RV group, specifically. Get in the gym and enjoy some fellowship and fun runs up and down the court for a few hours, followed by group prayer. Competition is great, especially in an encouraging environment, surrounded by men who love Jesus. Let’s form some authentic friendships while collectively missing plenty of shots and turning the ball over dozens of times. Please wear outdoor shoes until you enter the gym, in which then you can switch into your gym/basketball shoes. The cost is $5/person (each time) and their staff prefers cash, if possible.
This Small Group is for men of all ages seeking to have accountability to live pure lives. We check in weekly to: • Report on purity • Share praise for the good things God has done in your life • Request prayer • Set goals for the week 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and purify us from all unrighteousness. We meet at Panera Bread in Eagan at 6:30 to 7:30 on Friday mornings. SPECIAL NOTE: During the summer we meet at Lebanon Hills Park (Holland Lake Entrance on Lexington & Cliff Rd.) BEGINNING 04/21/2023
