Alpha is a place to connect with other people who are open to exploring life, faith, and meaning. Each session includes a time to connect with others over a free meal, hear a short talk on an element of the Christian faith, and then a chance for each person to share their own questions with the group. We'd love to hear your perspective! We will have Kickoff Alpha on February 5th at 6:00pm and end on Monday, April 8th. Dinner will be served each week and childcare is available.

This group is designed to get into God's Word, grow in your relationship with Jesus and connect to others. We will read the Bible together following River Valley's SOAP method. We can't wait to get to know you! We will start the group with the "Take Ground" study guide that is inspired by this years vision that Pastor Rob shared in January. We believe that we are going to end the year strong as we take ground as a church and see you take ground personally!

Looking to find community and connect with others in a similar stage of life? Join us we connect as couples with young kids. They say raising kids takes a village and who better than surround yourself with other believers who can encourage and speak truth into your life and marriage. Join us as we dig into different bible studies to grow in our knowledge of God's Word, parenting skills and marriage. Our group meets over zoom twice a month. We found last year when having to do our group over zoom that it actually worked well for families with little kids to find community in this way (just put your kids to bed and hop on your computer). We will be trying to meet a couple times a small group season in person for family fellowship times. Please have each spouse register for the group. Look forward to having you join us!

Freedom is a Core Group that equips you to live a victorious faith. Sometimes, we are simply unaware of lies we believe and wrong patterns of thinking that keep us stuck. In this group, you will discover how to move forward to greater freedom in your life, faith, and future by taking a deeper look at your identity in Christ. Freedom will meet every Tuesday starting Tuesday, Feb 6 and ending Tuesday, Apr 9. Snacks will be provided. Childcare is provided and you can check them into childcare at 615pm.

Empower | Apple Valley Winter 2024

There is nothing more exciting than living a Spirit-filled, empowered life! This eight-week Bible study will instruct, encourage and inspire you to walk in all that Jesus has made available to you through the infilling of the Holy Spirit and the gifts that He imparts. These gifts are vital and need to be used in order to be effective witnesses for Him. In this study you will learn about the unseen world, which is called the Spirit realm. Even though we don't see it with our physical eyes, we interact with it on a daily basis. You will also learn in detail about each of the nine gifts of the Spirit how they are used throughout the Old and New Testament by ordinary people. Finally, you will have the opportunity to deepen your relationship with the Lord through the lessons on prayer and intercession. Empower will meet every Tuesday beginning Feb 6 through Tuesday, Apr 9, 6:30 to 8:00pm. Childcare is provided. We will be meeting in Suite 1000. Please note*** It is strongly recommended that you attend the Alpha and Freedom courses before attending Empower.

Meals Ministry

Apple Valley

This group is for those who wish to bless others by making a meal. When a family is facing a challenging situation (whether a new baby, health diagnosis, emergency, etc.) and could use some support, my desire is to help provide some meals. When a need arises, I will create a meal train schedule & send it out to all members. You do not need to participate for every need - you can choose what works for you! My goal is to grow the group to easily provide for any need without relying too heavily on any member. This is not a typical small group & will not be meeting together.
