Freedom is a Core Group that equips you to live a victorious faith. Sometimes, we are simply unaware of lies we believe and wrong patterns of thinking that keep us stuck. In this group, you will discover how to move forward to greater freedom in your life, faith, and future by taking a deeper look at your identity in Christ.

AdultCore Group

Alpha | Chaska Winter 2024

Alpha is a Core Group that unpacks what River Valley believes. It answers questions like: Who is Jesus?, How do I read the Bible?, and Does God heal today? Since we are not yet in our building, this group will meet in our home. The format is simple: We share a meal around a table (we will provide), listen to a talk on the week’s topic, and then have discussion together over dessert! Alpha will meet every Tuesday Starting February 6. There will be one Saturday retreat on the Holy Spirit in the middle (date and location to be announced). Alpha is a great course to solidify what you believe, and form friendships with fellow believers who will walk through the ups and downs of life together. This is a new community starting from scratch, and we want you to be a part of building it with us! All are welcome.

There is nothing more exciting than living a Spirit-filled, empowered life! This eight-week Bible study will instruct, encourage and inspire you to walk in all that Jesus has made available to you through the infilling of the Holy Spirit and the gifts that He imparts. These gifts are vital and need to be used in order to be effective witnesses for Him. In this study you will learn about the unseen world, which is called the Spirit realm. Even though we don't see it with our physical eyes, we interact with it on a daily basis. You will also learn in detail about each of the nine gifts of the Spirit how they are used throughout the Old and New Testament by ordinary people. Finally, you will have the opportunity to deepen your relationship with the Lord through the lessons on prayer and intercession. Empower will meet every Thursday beginning February 8th through April 4th, 7:00pm to 8:30pm. Please note*** It is strongly recommended that you attend Alpha before attending Empower.

Welcome Home | Crosstown | January 2024

Welcome Home Groups are your first step at River Valley Church. We want to help you discover the plan and purpose God has for your life. Whether you are just getting to know God or have been a Christ-follower for a long time, Welcome Home is for you. This 4-week Small Group will meet at the Crosstown Campus on Wednesdays @ 6:30 pm, beginning January 10th and concluding on January 31st in the Elementary Room. You will connect with others at our campus, build community, and understand a bit more about how God made you, in order to go deeper in your relationship with Jesus and with others. We believe that we are going to end the year strong as we take ground as a church and see you take ground personally!
