You may hear us say the phrase “Our Heart is Global” often throughout your time at River Valley, but what does it really mean? In Explore, we walk through the great commission that Jesus gave to his followers before He left this earth. Our mandate is to make disciples from every part of the world. Each and every one of us has a part to play in that, whether it is to pray, to mobilize others, to send or to go! This group is for everyone to discover how God wants to use them to accomplish His great commission.

Alpha | Shakopee Winter 2024

Alpha is a Core Group, taught by Pastor Zeus Vital, that unpacks what River Valley believes. It answers questions like: Who is Jesus?, How do I read the Bible?, and Does God heal today? The format is simple: We share a meal around a table, listen to a talk on the week’s topic, and then have discussion together to learn more. For this season, free dinner and free childcare will be offered with limited capacities on a first come, first serve basis. Registration will be required for each child individually which will secure a spot in childcare for the whole Alpha session. Childcare is available at a limited capacity.
