Welcome Home is your first step at River Valley Church. In this group you will learn more about the church, make new connections and learn more about yourself. You were created for a purpose, and we want to help you discover that purpose! We can't wait to meet you! This is a 4-week small group that will meet by the Fireside on Sundays. It will run from Sunday, January 7 through Sunday, January 28 during the 9:00am service.

This group is designed to get into God's Word, grow in your relationship with Jesus and connect to others. We will read the Bible together following River Valley's SOAP method. We can't wait to get to know you! We will start the group with the "Take Ground" study guide that is inspired by this years vision that Pastor Rob shared in January. We believe that we are going to end the year strong as we take ground as a church and see you take ground personally!

Freedom is a Core Group that equips you to live a victorious faith. Sometimes, we are simply unaware of lies we believe and wrong patterns of thinking that keep us stuck. In this 9-week group (Tuesdays, Feb 6-April 2), you will discover how to move forward to greater freedom in your life, faith, and future by taking a deeper look at your identity in Christ. For this season, free childcare will be offered with limited capacities on a first-come, first-serve basis. Explore is a Core Group designed to inspire and enlarge your global heart as we study the biblical basis of missions and hear from some of our great missionaries. At River Valley, our heart is global because God’s heart is global. That’s why we believe that every follower of Jesus Christ should explore and know their role within God’s Great Commission. Explore will begin on Tuesday, February 6, and will meet from 6:30-8pm at the Minnetrista Campus by the Fireside. It is a 7-week group and will end on March 19.

Men’s Open Gym Basketball

Crosstown

We are starting a men’s only (for now) small group in which we’ll be getting together on Sunday nights at Trinity Lutheran Church in Long Lake, for open gym basketball. All skill levels are welcome and the gym will be reserved for this RV group, specifically. Get in the gym and enjoy some fellowship and fun runs up and down the court for a few hours, followed by group prayer. Competition is great, especially in an encouraging environment, surrounded by men who love Jesus. Let’s form some authentic friendships while collectively missing plenty of shots and turning the ball over dozens of times. Please wear outdoor shoes until you enter the gym, in which then you can switch into your gym/basketball shoes. The cost is $5/person (each time) and their staff prefers cash, if possible.
