Welcome Home for April will meet on Tuesday nights following the conclusion of our Core Groups on April 16th, 23rd, and 30th.

Alpha | Shakopee Winter 2024

Alpha is a Core Group, taught by Pastor Zeus Vital, that unpacks what River Valley believes. It answers questions like: Who is Jesus?, How do I read the Bible?, and Does God heal today? The format is simple: We share a meal around a table, listen to a talk on the week’s topic, and then have discussion together to learn more. For this season, free dinner and free childcare will be offered with limited capacities on a first come, first serve basis. Registration will be required for each child individually which will secure a spot in childcare for the whole Alpha session. Childcare is available at a limited capacity. You are welcome here! This is a "join at anytime" men's group. God is great and mighty! Men together sharpening each other through the Word of God, community and prayer. If you are looking for a deeper connection with God, this group is for you. God desires that we overcome being ruled by our thoughts and feelings, which are highly influenced by our circumstances — family, work, health, or temptation. 2 Peter 1:3–4 tells us that we can actually do this! It comes from learning to respond to God's promises in His Word and through prayer. This is the purpose of The Promise Principle Men's Lifegroups. Whether you’re still exploring faith in Christ, or you have been a Christian for many years, you’ll experience what we believe Jesus meant when He called His disciples to change the world by discovering and responding to His promises, truths, and commands. We are looking for people who love to cook and bless others with meals who can be part of Shakopee Campus's Meal Train Ministry! From time to time, we receive requests for Meal Trains to be organized for families who are transitioning with a new baby in their home, for those who are recovering from illnesses, or those who are overwhelmed with life's challenges or a recent family death. Do you love to cook and want to use your culinary talents to bless others in this way? Then join our Meal Train Ministry to be added to the email list and get notified when meals are needed for a Shakopee Campus family! Thanks for being the hands and feet of Jesus!

Freedom is a Core Group that equips you to live a victorious faith. Sometimes, we are simply unaware of lies we believe and wrong patterns of thinking that keep us stuck. In this group, you will discover how to move forward to greater freedom in your life, faith, and future by taking a deeper look at your identity in Christ. Freedom will start on Monday, February 5 from 6:30-8pm in our River Valley Kids auditorium. Freedom will meet for 9 weeks, ending on April 1. Childcare will be provided on a limited basis. A separate registration will be required for childcare.

Looking to find community and connect with others in a similar stage of life? Join us we connect as couples with young kids. They say raising kids takes a village and who better than surround yourself with other believers who can encourage and speak truth into your life and marriage. Join us as we dig into different bible studies to grow in our knowledge of God's Word, parenting skills and marriage. Our group meets over zoom twice a month. We found last year when having to do our group over zoom that it actually worked well for families with little kids to find community in this way (just put your kids to bed and hop on your computer). We will be trying to meet a couple times a small group season in person for family fellowship times. Please have each spouse register for the group. Look forward to having you join us!

Explore is a Core Group designed to inspire and enlarge your global heart as we study the biblical basis of missions and hear from some of our great missionaries. At River Valley, our heart is global because God’s heart is global. That’s why we believe that every follower of Jesus Christ should explore and know their role within God’s Great Commission. Explore will meet every Monday beginning on Monday, Feb 5 and ending on Monday, Apr 8. Snacks will be offered. Kids Programming will be offered for kids 5 years and up. Childcare is NOT provided for Kids 4 and under.
