My names is Jamer and I'm one of the YTH Pastors at our Apple Valley Campus and I'm inviting all dads that have a child in middle school or high school to come do a bible study with me at Starbucks on Tuesday mornings! The purpose of starting this group is I want to be invested in your guy's lives as parents and come alongside you in discipling you child and would love to get to know you more!

Men’s Open Gym Basketball

We are starting a men’s only (for now) small group in which we’ll be getting together on Sunday nights at Trinity Lutheran Church in Long Lake, for open gym basketball. All skill levels are welcome and the gym will be reserved for this RV group, specifically. Get in the gym and enjoy some fellowship and fun runs up and down the court for a few hours, followed by group prayer. Competition is great, especially in an encouraging environment, surrounded by men who love Jesus. Let’s form some authentic friendships while collectively missing plenty of shots and turning the ball over dozens of times. Please wear outdoor shoes until you enter the gym, in which then you can switch into your gym/basketball shoes. The cost is $5/person (each time) and their staff prefers cash, if possible.

Alpha is a Core Group, taught by Pastor Zeus Vital, that unpacks what River Valley believes. It answers questions like: Who is Jesus?, How do I read the Bible?, and Does God heal today? The format is simple: We share a meal around a table, listen to a talk on the week’s topic, and then have discussion together to learn more. For this season, free dinner and free childcare will be offered with limited capacities on a first come, first serve basis. Registration will be required for each child individually which will secure a spot in childcare for the whole Alpha session. Childcare is available at a limited capacity. Looking to find community and connect with others in a similar stage of life? Join us we connect as couples with young kids. They say raising kids takes a village and who better than surround yourself with other believers who can encourage and speak truth into your life and marriage. Join us as we dig into different bible studies to grow in our knowledge of God's Word, parenting skills and marriage. Our group meets over zoom twice a month. We found last year when having to do our group over zoom that it actually worked well for families with little kids to find community in this way (just put your kids to bed and hop on your computer). We will be trying to meet a couple times a small group season in person for family fellowship times. Please have each spouse register for the group. Look forward to having you join us!

This is a safe place to process and pray through child loss and infertility struggles 1 Samuel 1:19-20 Samuel Is Born 19 The family got up early in the morning and worshiped before the Lord. Then they returned to their house in Ramah. Elkanah lay with his wife Hannah, and the Lord remembered her. 20 The Lord made it possible for her to have a child, and when the time came she gave birth to a son. She gave him the name Samuel, saying, “I have asked the Lord for him." Samuel's Hope: A group of prayer warriors believing that God will make it possible for them to have a child. We will be asking God to remember us, just as he did Hannah in 1 Samuel, and to bring us a child. This group was created to be a source of encouragement, prayer support, and safe place to share. It's for women who have a desire to have children, but are facing obstacles. It's a place where we as women will stand together and ask God to make it possible. We will ask God to remember us and give us sons and daughters to raise to honor Him. The plan - to commit every Monday to a time in prayer for each other

This group is for those who wish to bless others by making a meal. When a family is facing a challenging situation (whether a new baby, health diagnosis, emergency, etc.) and could use some support, my desire is to help provide some meals. When a need arises, I will create a meal train schedule & send it out to all members. You do not need to participate for every need - you can choose what works for you! My goal is to grow the group to easily provide for any need without relying too heavily on any member. This is not a typical small group & will not be meeting together.
