Luke and Tanya McKinley’s mission field is the country of Estonia. Their primary focus is church planting in Tallinn, Estonia. They work with a team of missionaries in a multiplication network.
First Mission
Luke’s first missions experience was with Adventures in Missions for youth to the Dominican Republic. The focus of the trip was street evangelism with young people.
Becoming a Missionary
During his first missionary trip to the Dominican Republic Luke McKinley saw near bare and shoeless children digging through a trash dump. The encounter impacted him in a way that developed into a heart for lost people and the call to become a missionary.

Almost 60% of French people say they are atheist or agnostic. France also represents the European country with the largest population of Muslims. Both the French nationals and all those who are currently seeking home in France, are in need of an encounter with Jesus and God is at work - - now we have the chance to be a part of it!

Genoa is approximately 1/2 million people with less than 2% recognizing Jesus as Savior of their lives. Italy is home to an estimated 105 documented people groups, 23 of which are considered unreached people groups. Genoa is a port city and an International hub. AGWM has never had a missionary in this city and we are excited to be the first.

Estonia is a small country, about 1/5 the size of Minnesota with just 1.3 million people. About 400,000 of them live in Tallinn, the city we live and work in. Estonia is one of the least religious countries in the world. Only 14 percent believe religion has any influence on their lives, and less than 1 percent are Evangelical Christian (Pentecostal, Baptist, or Methodist). After centuries of various occupations, Estonia was established as a country in 1918, but Soviet and Nazi occupations would follow. Estonia regained independence from the Soviet Union in 1991. The country is around 70 percent Estonian and 20 percent Russian, although some border cities are up to 90 percent Russian. Despite such a difficult past, Estonia leads the way technologically. Skype, Pipedrive, and Wise were all born in Estonia, and it's not uncommon to see delivery robots pass by on the sidewalk.
